Welcome to the The Concept Keys Tour
The tour is divided into two segments for two specific audiences: As a Participant in one of our programs and as an Owner or Supervisor.
Five Minutes in the Life of a Participant
The clock starts ticking at 8:36am as I scoot up to my desk, coffee in hand, to check my email.
- The Daily Reminder
-
As I scan through my email, I note the Daily Reminder from CK and open it. Contained therein I see the activities scheduled for today
and any activities I might have missed from past days. I then click on the link to go to today's Key.
- Logging In
-
My email message takes me to the Login Page at CK. My web browser remembers my login information, so this is a snap.
- My Home
-
After logging in, 'My Home' tab is displayed which shows all my current programs and gives me access to any other programs as
well.
- Today's Activities
-
Clicking on my program, I can now see my completed Keys and Activities as well as noting which ones have yet to be done. Since
I'm an engaged participant, the only incomplete items are today's, so I click on 'Key #4: Develop personal pride in your work quality!'.
- My Key and Food for Thought Questions
-
Today's key is about taking pride in the quality of my work and really hits a chord with me since lately I've been a bit less
focused than I should be. This key helps put a little spring in my step as I make the decision to correct this behavior.
Next I fill out the Food for Thought questions which help me assess my current proficiency as well as formulate a plan for how
to improve.
- My Five Minutes Are Up!
-
After I submit my answers to the Food for Thought Questions, my daily activities are complete... except when I've reached every
fifth key. Typically this falls on a Friday, so read on!
- If it had been Friday...
-
Along with every fifth key, there's a little extra bit to do. There's a Retention Quiz, Most Important Key selection, and
formulating my Action Plan. Altogether these items will take no more than 5 additional minutes.
- Retention Quiz
-
The retention quiz is a list of 15 randomly chosen 'incorrect' keys from other programs mixed in with the 5 keys from my current week.
My job is to pick the 5 keys from the current week. This little quiz really separates the participants who are actively engaged
in their programs from those who are not. It's quite clear from our experience, if a participant is completing their activities every
day, their retention quiz scores reflect it.
- Most Important Key and Action Plan
-
This activity has me choose my Most Important Key from the current week. It really allows me to single out something I feel is important
and useful to my personal improvement.
The second part of this activity is to develop a real Action Plan for applying the key over the next week! This is an outstanding activity since it really gives me a specific goal to accomplish in the next week.
Which leads to the final part of the Action Plan sequence: The Outcome of last week's Action Plan. Here I simply talk about how
well (or not so well) my Action Plan from last week turned out.
And there you have it! In our little scenario here the clock now reads 8:41am most days... five minutes a day really does make a difference! When you get down to brass tacks, this system simply makes sense. No more overloading, no more cramming, and no more stress. Just a little bit of improvement, every day.
Owner/Supervisor Tools
Concept Keys realizes the need for the folks in charge to be able to demonstrate the effectiveness of a program, as well as help folks out who might be having a little trouble along the way. To that end we have several tools available.
- Report Generation
-
Our report generation is easy to use and gives you a good overview of how your participants are doing. There are several options
to choose from and you can create your own groups within your program. We also offer a full download of all participant data in
spreadsheet format; Allowing you to create your own reports or look at the data in whatever format you wish.
- Delegating Control
-
For some organizations, it's important to appoint Coordinators in the program. These Coordinators can be anyone you choose (e.g.
someone's supervisor) and are put in control of a Group of participants. The tools are available for Owners to create these
groups and Coordinators or Concept Keys can help you get things organized.
- Excused Abscence
- Someone's out sick and can't get their activities done? Trade show? Conference? Not a problem! All Coordinators and Owners have the ability to "excuse" a participant from an activity. Specifically, the participant is still expected to catch up, but any excused days will not affect their Engagement scoring.
These are just some of the tools available and more come online as we find new improvements and are given new ideas!
That's All Folks!
We hope you've enjoyed this brief look into Concept Keys. If you have any further questions, please contact us!
